Justin Duance is a young designer, based in Newlyn, in Cornwall. He hand crafts each silver or gold piece from his workshop in Newlyn overlooking the sea. The jewellery is very much influenced by Cornwall's countryside and the surrounding ocean.
His work is designed and created to highlight the contrasts between the textures of the land and the sea, using a combination of wood, gold, silver and resin to give his pieces an organic feel. Justin's work is designed to change with wear and time, making each piece totally unique and personal.
He is especially fascinated by the way they engage with each other, constantly conflicting, whilst paradoxically achieving a harmonic balance. Justin Duance designs and creates his contemporary jewellery using a stylishly understated combination of silver or gold and non-precious materials, such as wood and resin.
